Terms of Service

1. What ManaBucket is

ManaBucket installs a small agent on a machine you control, which takes scheduled, encrypted backups of your Minecraft server (Java or Bedrock) and stores them in our cloud storage. You configure what gets backed up, how often, and for how long it's kept, through our web dashboard.

ManaBucket is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is used here only to describe what the service is for.

2. Your account and responsibilities

• You're responsible for the machine you install the agent on, and for keeping your account credentials and device tokens secure.
• You may only back up data you have the right to back up.
• You're responsible for keeping your billing information current. Repeated failed payments can result in service suspension.
• You must not attempt to use the service to store or distribute anything other than Minecraft server data, or to circumvent the storage limits of your plan.

3. Plans, billing, and changes

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance, through Stripe. Storage add-ons and any opted-in overage are billed the same way. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the dashboard; see our Refund Policy for what happens to charges already made, and our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after cancellation.

4. Service availability

We aim for reliable backups but cannot guarantee the service will be available without interruption. We are not liable for backups missed due to your machine being offline, misconfiguration on your end, or events outside our reasonable control. We alert you when a backup fails or a machine goes quiet - use those alerts, and don't treat ManaBucket as your only copy of anything irreplaceable.

5. Data ownership and deletion

Your world data is yours. We store it to provide the service and do not use it for any other purpose. You can delete a world's backups at any time; deleting is permanent. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data if you cancel your account, and for the fact that ManaBucket holds the key material to decrypt your backups - this is not a zero-knowledge service.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, abuses the service, or has an unresolved billing failure. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you first, except where immediate action is needed to protect the service or other customers.

7. Limitation of liability

ManaBucket is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data not attributable to our failure to perform a backup you correctly configured and paid for.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and notify you by email of any change we consider material.
